Roy Hamilton is a Vocalist/Performer/Songwriter/Vocal arranger who has performed with established artistes such as: Robert Palmer, Toni Braxton, Phil Collins to name but a few. His artistic ability has enabled him to travel extensively throughout the world. His flexible voice has been used on many advertising campaigns for high profile brand names such as: Lucazade, Motorola, Pepsi Cola etc From the very beginning of his career he has been influenced by many of the Great Jazz, Blues, Gospel and Soul performers of the 50s & 60s & 70s such as: Ray Charles, Nat King Cole, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, John Lee Hooker, Otis Redding, Billy Eckstine, Fats Domino, Ben E King, Bobby Womack, The Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn, Sly and the Family Stone, Ohio Players, Rance Allen, Mahalia Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Johnnie Taylor, Willie Hutch, Brook Benton, Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five, Joe Tex, Arthur Conley, Wilson Pickett, The Staple Singers, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Gladys Knight, Fats Waller, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Junior Walker, Prince Buster, Al Green, Sam and Dave, Percy Sledge, King Pleasure, the (Youll never walk alone) Roy Hamilton and my father Roy Hamilton Snr. These influences have enabled Roy Hamilton to write songs incorporating different flavours of music in order to create something new, so listen out, theres a new flavour coming at ya.
